Melaka - Quit all the same-all-thing, Let's try something different!

"Where can we find good food in Malacca?"

Capitol Satay Celup? Chung Wah Chicken Rice Ball? Durian Cendol? Restaurant Nyonya Suan? Portuguese Settlement?

NO! NO! NOooooo...

Quit all the same-old-thing and beat the long queue! Who want to queue for hours just for the food that have been commercialized? ( of course, if you are first time in Malacca, that's no harm for you to try out them ) Try something different now!

Believe me, i am going to introduce variety of delicious food in malacca and I promise you will never regret to spend time to read this blog. :)

Ta-Da! here we go:

Yummy 1: Klebang Original Coconut Milkshake

Dont be surprise when you see a long queue in front of the stall and normally it takes you 10-15 mins to get the milkshake.

Lucky me, i went to this stall during Ramadan week and surprisingly, there is no queue at all. I still got my seat in their new corner.

Thoughtful owner has expended their business to the back of the kampong, just drive further inside then you will get the proper seating area.
Klebang coconut milk shake now gives you better seating space to chill!
Cozy seating area

menu can price listed

Sooooo many coconuts! cant wait! Order please!

Finally, i tried the famous -long-queue coconut milkshake that you can only get in Malacca.

Coconut milkshake with vanila ice-cream.  All the ice have been blended into fine and smooth texture. Do feel free to suck out the rich coconut from the bottom. Boss is generous enough to add on the ice-cream for you

I didnt get a chance to try this double chocolate. It looks damn yummy yet sinful right?

Yummy 3: Tong Bee
It just like we have found a antique gem from an ugly stone. This stall is located in a hidden area, you wont be able to track it if you dont pay attention.

i was so excited when i saw all these small stool where you can hardly sit still if you are more than 70kg. :)

There are 2 stalls here -- Tong Bee which was featured by 8tv Hoa Jek program while the other was featured by A XIAN.
We chose Tong Bee because it was recommended by friends and also ....because of this ...
i was attracted by the hanging dried squid. Where can you find this in KL? no right?
this is just so ...ancient feel!

while you are eating, you can smile the dried squid, it is just so close.

All the fresh SI-HAM and LALA on the table

tons of fresh SIHAM and LALA

some paper cuts

Memorable photo with celebrity

Channel 8 interview

Uncle patiently chop and heat the squid with small fire. one-by-one

Kang Kung & Squid -- nice!

La-la

Most important sauce. Without this, lala is only lala

there are a few whole on the long table, so you can just throw the shells inside.

The LALA is damn yummy until we coundnt stop ordering it. At the end, 2 of us have eaten 16 dishes of LALA

Honestly, this area is quite clean compare with other back street. At least i didnt see any mouse.

Do try all there local food that still keep the original taste in Malacca.
